GIS Elementary focuses on children’s natural curiosity
The Elementary School years are an essential time for students to learn fundamental concepts and mechanics and develop learning skills and approaches to set the stage for a lifetime of success. GIS Elementary focuses on children’s natural curiosity and encourages them to delve deep into topics and subject areas.
We include a variety of learning approaches, along with multi-sensory and hands-on activities that appeal to various learning styles. These activities focus on children’s natural curiosity and encourage students to explore and discover.
Our elementary school curriculum focuses on various subject areas: English, Math, Science, Arabic, Islamic studies, Social Studies, Art, P.E., and ICT. As a result, students will develop strong reading comprehension skills, write original composition pieces, develop critical thinking skills, learn fundamental math concepts, explore diverse science topics, and learn about the world around them while maintaining a solid connection with the rich Arabic language.
All Elementary School subjects also include integrated technology lessons that coincide with their respective fields and classes. Therefore, your child won’t learn technology skills in isolation but will develop an understanding of how to apply these skills to their everyday work.
Elementary students’ progress and accomplishments are tracked using standardized adaptive tests like MAP (Measure of Academic Progress), and their cognitive abilities are tested using CAT4 (Cognitive Ability test).
The NGRT (New Group Reading Test) is a standardized, termly assessment that reliably measures reading skills against the national average to help students get to the root of any problems precisely and quickly.
ABT (Arabic Benchmark Test) is a nationwide standardized test that assesses students’ Arabic Language comprehension, speaking, and listening for Grades 3 and onwards.
TIMSS (The Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) is an international assessment of students’ mathematics and science knowledge worldwide used for Grades 4.
