GIS Curricula

GIS year spans almost nine months, from early September to June. The school academic year is divided into two Semesters (around 15-16 weeks each).

The school’s pattern of organization is referred to as the (2-5-3-4) plan, includes Kindergarten Kg1 and Kg2, Elementary School in Grades 1 through 5 (segregation policy applies from Grade 5) Middle School in grades 6 through 8 and High School in grades 9 through 12.

The school adopts this pattern of organization taking into consideration the school’s vision, values and facilities, and it follows with the KHDA and MOE requirements and recommendations and other cultural factors especially concerning the segregation policy between boys and girls from Grades 5 to 12.

01. Elementary

In the elementary, students are introduced to a broad range of subjects, including Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Moral Social Cultural Studies, Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Arts. The curriculum is designed to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity, laying a strong foundation for future learning. Students also have the opportunity to explore through the STEM programs and Discovery lessons in their weekly schedule.

02. Middle School

In the middle school, students delve deeper into various disciplines while expanding their knowledge and honing their skills. They engage in comprehensive studies of subjects like English, Mathematics, Science, Arabic, Islamic Studies and Moral Social Cultural Studies. Additionally, they are exposed to elective courses along with ICT, Art, and Physical Education. This stage is crucial for fostering independence, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.

03. High School

In the high school, we offers a diverse range of academic programs to suit students’ varied interests and goals. Rigorous core subjects, including English, Arabic, Islamic Studies along with a wide range of electives for Humanities, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Science, ICT, Art etc, form the foundation of the curriculum. Advanced Placement (AP) courses are available to challenge students and prepare them for higher education. These offerings allow students to tailor their education to their individual passions and career aspirations. Across all grade levels, we emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and experiential learning.
