What are the school timings?
School Timings are as follows:
Monday to Thursday
KG: 7:45- 12:50 pm
Elementary: 7:45- 2:20 pm
Middle & High: 7:45- 2:45 pm
Friday:
KG: 7:45- 11:00 am
Elementary: 7:45- 11:10 am
Middle & High: 7:45- 11:15 am
Is there a school bus service available?
Bus service is available for limited areas around the school according to the request and need of most of our students.
What are the admission requirements?
Admission Requirements:
- Pass the entrance exam & Interview.
- Documents: Emirates ID (for student and parents), Latest report from previous school, Medical Records, Photo, Transfer Certificate, all the supporting documents in case of any special situation (such as Special Educational Needs)
Are there any scholarships available?
We do not offer scholarships, only discounts for siblings.
What is the school's curriculum?
American (CCSS and Michigan State Standards) and the MOE (Arabic, Islamic and Moral Social Cultural Studies)
Are there any extracurricular activities offered?
The school offers a new set of activities every year.
What is the school's disciplinary policy?
The School’s Expectations (rules and regulations) are shared at the beginning of every academic year with our parents and students.
How are the school's academic performance and achievements?
GIS has been rated ‘Good’ for the last 10 Inspections by the KHDA.
Are there any health and safety measures in place?
Yes, as per the DHA and the KHDA regulations.
What are the facilities available on campus?
56 Classrooms, 5 Science labs, 5 ICT labs, 3 Libraries, 3 STEM rooms, 4 Language Rooms, 1 Arabic HUB, 1 ELL Room, 2 Inclusion Rooms, 2 Prayer Rooms, Football court, Basketball court, 2 Indoor GYMs, 2 Auditoriums, Swimming pool and 2 Canteens.
Are there any special education programs or support services?
Yes, we do. The Inclusion programs cater to different needs and requirements.
How are parent-teacher communication and involvement encouraged?
Parents are involved through the different communication channels (Paragon, Seesaw, School Management System, Emails, MS Teams, Canvas and Phone Calls).
Are there any language support programs for non-native English speakers?
Yes, the ELL Department Programs.
What are the options for school breaks and canteens?
The school has 2 Canteens to serve the students and staff members through the different break timings during the day.
What are the school holidays and vacation dates?
At the beginning of each academic year the school provides parents with the school calendar that states all the holidays and vacations (approved from KHDA).
How can parents get involved in school events or volunteering?
All events and activities are communicated through the different communication channels.
Is there a school counselor or psychologist available for students?
Yes, we do have a dedicated School Counsellor.
Are there any field trips or educational outings?
Yes, each section assigns a set of trips and activities that matches the curriculum and needs for different grade levels.
Is there a library or resource center available for students?
Yes, the school has 5 ICT labs and 3 libraries.
What sports facilities and programs does the school offer?
The school has a Football court, Basketball court, 2 Indoor gyms and a Swimming pool.
Are there any technology or computer labs?
Yes, the school has 5 ICT labs and 3 STEM rooms.
Are there any support services for students with learning differences?
Yes, the Inclusion Department in school provides SEN students with specific modified programs.
Are there any leadership or mentoring programs for students?
Yes, the school has a school Parliament made up of Prefects, Captains, Vice Captains, Secretaries, Presidents, Vice Presidents, and a Chairperson.
What are the school's policies on mobile phone usage by students?
Mobile phones are not allowed on the school premises.
